Guidelines for Saudi Umrah Visa Processing from Tanzania in 2026
If you are a Tanzanian travel agency arranging group trips or an individual planning your pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah, you must follow the official digital registration rules. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah uses a strict verification system to manage pilgrim logistics. To avoid delays at the embassy level or when landing, you must complete specific steps before booking flights or submitting your passport in Dar es Salaam.
1. Pre-Booking and Package Rules via Nusuk
You can no longer apply for an Umrah entry visa on its own. The system automatically blocks standalone applications. Every single entry permit must link directly to a pre-paid service group:
Booking Reference Number (BRN): Your agent must secure a valid BRN number. This tracking code covers your hotel stay and ground transport in Saudi Arabia, and the visa portal requires it before processing your name.
Hotel Licensing Checks: The platform checks your selected hotel against its database. If a hotel lacks an active license from the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, the system rejects the entire application instantly.
Prayer and Entry Permits: Getting the visa does not give you automatic entry to the holy sites. Once you arrive, you have to use the Nusuk app on your phone to book your entry time slot (Izin) for the Two Holy Mosques and the Rawdah. The app builds a unique QR code that you need to show at the gate security points.
2. Required Documents and Deadlines
The Entry Window: Your issued Umrah visa stays valid for exactly 30 days. You must pass through Saudi border control before this time frame ends, or the visa expires.
Length of Stay: The visa permits you to remain in the country for up to 90 days maximum.
Passport Expiration: Your physical passport must stay valid for at least six months from your application submission date.
Medical Documents: You need to show a valid certificate for the Quadrivalent Meningitis vaccine. Make sure you get the shot within the approved legal timelines before your travel date.
3. Local Ground Support from City Squares
Managing the digital portal entries, checking hotel codes, and tracking embassy updates can overwhelm internal teams.

Our team takes care of your entire data upload process, verifies your package records on Nusuk, and coordinates directly with the Saudi Embassy to ensure your group or individual applications clear without formatting errors.
